Positives:
Makes fun of both DPC scores and the DNMC mania that frequently gets out of hand. Introuces new "Featured Photographs" on the main screen which likely is or will become a neat new DPC feature. The bogus low scoring user image added considerable viewer interest to the concept. The DNMC comment addition was a great jab. Closing the "Vanishing" challenge early fits the joke concept.

Technicals:
The introduction of random bogus votes to hold down scores is rather cleverly introduced. Makes it easier to remove at rollover. This was done two or three years ago to great effect. I thought, at first that random votes were randomly generated from 1 to 3 but it might be just random 1s put into the system, possibly combined with a scaling factor to make it impossible to see how your score matches up to others though generally the order of scores is probably correct. Might even be a random bogus 1 vote for every legitimate vote.

Letting 'real' scores accumulate for a while at the beginning, though perhaps not purposeful, was a smart ruse.

The addition of DNMC comments in a Free Study challenge was hilarious!

In the 'introduction' of 'featured photographs' to the main page having one of the user's lower, but not their lowest scoring image show up was a stroke of genius!

Oh... and closing the Vanishing challenge before the 24 hours was up was both cruel and completely in keeping with the day. Congrats to the submitters... they will all get high placings. :)

The Challenge:
Meets the April Fool's Day theme perfectly, but based on comments made today it is likely some voters will give it a big DNMC vote anyway.

Suggestions:
Unsure of the intention of the changing vote display but next time you might consider keeping the display looking normal the whole time. The display change was a dead giveaway. Everything else was PERFECT!

I should hope the stuff about WPL5 was also part of the joke. Don't forget that.
