I 'do' keep filters on the lenses at all times skylight usually. If you think I am guilty of lens cap abuse you should see where I take the camera! Dirt arenas in windstorms often, sand dunes, gypsum dunes (white sands), underground coal mines..... (my 'L' lens got to skip that trip)

Wow. Remind me not to buy a lens or body from Cristy! jk Although the coal mine sounds like a fun experience.

I leave mine on the lens. Better than a filter and I never lose it. ;D

If I'm outside shooting it goes in a front pocket, or a jacket pocket if I'm wearing a jacket.

Inside it goes on a table nearby.
