Depending on the number of entries, I like to revisit a challenge I've voted on prior to the end of the challenge to bump up or down any of the photo's I've voted on previously. I find that looking at the entries sorted by vote and looking at them with fresh eyes helps me evaluate the entries a tad bit better. Most of the time I end up bumping up several photos that, when viewed with others that I scored similarly on the initial pass, look out of place and deserve the bump up.
Both being equally valid, do you find yourself re-evaluating your scoring, or are you a first impression and done voter?
Note: My re-evaluation threshold is in the 250 entries neighborhood. More than 250 and I generally use the first impression and done method. |

I re-evaluate some of them, but only after I've voted on all the images in a challenge. Ideally I'd like to be able to do it all the time (I think I give a fairer vote after having looked at some of the images again), but if I'm busy, or there's a lot of images in a challenge, I just don't get the chance. |

I re evaluate everything I give a 6 or better to see if it needs bumped up...

I go through and vote on initial impressions fairly quickly if there's a ton of entries. That at least gets them in some kind of order for me. Then I can go back and take my time to see what needs bumped up or down. |

I am a two or three pass voter (when I vote). My first pass is sorting into 4-5-6. Second pass puts everything in it's place. Third pass, if it happens, is as you say with fresh eyes near the end of voting. |

I'm similar to _eug. I look at my first pass through as a sort. I generally put things into 4, 5, or 6 and then use the second pass to bump and comment. However, a particularly striking image or a particularly bad image may get a lower or higher score on the first pass. This gives me an impression when I go back over things of what really stood out (good and bad) and where my initial impressions placed everything. On the second (or third pass) I'll bump up shots that I think deserve it, but I will only rarely demote an image. Generally, I'm only looking for the lower scores on the second pass to decide which to leave comments on. |

Same here. Two or three passes through voting and reappraisal of the votes, then commenting in the second or third pass, rarely in the first pass. I do find it helpful to see the images sorted by vote after the first pass. Large challenges - I like to retain my 2-3 pass method, so usually for very large challenges (if I absolutely don't have the time), I might vote on only a random portion rather than the whole challenge. |

First look, and maybe I´ll change two or three votes, but the first impression is 99% of the time the best for me.

A bit of both.
I'll generally work my way through spending a short bit of time on each photo, then once I'm complete, I'll look at the summarized numbers and identify photos which don't appear to fit in with the rest of that number, quality-wise. Then I'll bump up or down as necessary. |
