| is this really a nice deal? CF II 8 GB if I use google checkout then I will save $10 more so it would come out to $83.65. |

That card is about £65 on UK websites, so that's probably about for you lucky yanks.
Everything is always more for us.

$93.65 USD is darn cheap for an 8GB Ultra II card. Ultra II is an older card and Sandisk makes two newer, faster series, but at substantially higher cost. The write speed of the Ultra II cards is still pretty fast; you'll see 9MB/s reliably in read and write, assuming that whatever is reading or writing can do so at that speed. Bear in mind that transferring a full card to the computer at that speed will take 15 minutes!
The real downside to this is that the seller has an abysmal 2.31 six-month rating on resellerratings.com. That's much worse than their lifetime rating, which is not great either. I personally would not risk dealing with them.

| Adorama has an 8GB CF card for $49.95. Not the fastest in the world, but a good, reliable card. |
