I went to a church today to snap some shots for their website.

And here's the result

I wanted a ligth airy feel to the images but ligthing was horrible, I had to use iso 800 and maximum aparture all of the time.

A few pointer and tips on how to do this better would be appriciated.

removed the link because of bandwith issues ;)

These look great, I love black and white. I love how good you put the blur behind the prayer book. Great shots.

While these are all excellent, if you hadn't said so, I never would have guess these shots were at a church. The people shots (again are awesome) are tight-ish crops, which isolates the subject well, but doesn't show "church environment".

Still ... great images!

That's because the curch is located in a smallish office building, it's quite new (they split the church districts a few years ago) and it's expensive to build churches.

What a beautiful set of photos... really very intimate and lovely. These pictures say a lot about these people, which is probably what you wanted. Fantastic. I particularly like the first set, and especially like the very first photo, the coffee cups, the first portrait of the priest, and the priest reading with the young woman.

Yes, very lovely group of photos. It looks very "film like" (nice grain NOT NOISE) for lack of a better term....I especially like the baby shots.

thank you.

I was very worried about the noise ruining the photos, I had to overexpose them 2-2.7 stops in lightroom to get them like viewable.
