Several of you, in your comments on my image, asked me how I did it.
Here is the process.

1.I chose a long exposure at a low ISO setting (5 sec. At ISO 100, EV -2).
2.I had my model (who is very predictably my girlfriend) lay on the bed strait.
3.At the moment of exposure she set-up and held her position for 4 seconds.
4.After which she very quickly got up and exited the frame.
5.The remaining 1 second created the illusion of transparency.

Thank you for your comments.

As to some of the choices of composition; the bed was chosen to be made as to indicate that it is a memory of the events past, the pillow was a connection of the past and present, the light with-in the frame allowed high contrast between the right and left sides indicating movement in time.

Your comments (any, the more critical the better) would be very welcome.

Thanks.
Dimitrii

P.S. It was not a cheap motel by the race track, but actually a top of the line room at Hillton at a very respectable suburb of LA.

Well done. Looking forward to seeing a whole lot more of your girlfriend.
