it's usually the part i had to pause and think before hitting the Submit button, so yes, i think it's important to me? (or i wouldn't have bothered to stop and think of one)

Sometimes. I don't think I'd specifically mark a photo down for not having a good title, but it has made me increase a mark in the past. Like if you look at an image, think it's ok, then something about the title makes you actually get it.

I think a good title can add feeling or humour to a photo. It's like funny home videos. They are funny but with commentry become hilarious. Sometimes photos speak for themselves and really dont need a comment. A professional photographer who I did an exhibition workshop with said that a photo shoudl always have a title and that it should be well thought out, very rarely being the first choice.
