I am still really leaning toward the the super cub, but I am wondering, since its 3 channels, can I perform 'rolls".

I know I should learn to fly first, b4 I attempt aerobatics, but I also dont want to be to limited..

Check into getting Real Flight G3.5 RC simulator. It flies with included RC style controller or you can plug your real controller. It seems to be very realist and may save a lot of money on avoiding crashes while ya learn to fly. Great for trying new maneuvers too.

If it's 3 channels I'll take a "wild" guess it's just throttle, rudder and elevator. You need ailerons to do a roll.

You can do a snap roll with just a rudder. They did it in the "galloping ghost" days with one channel radios that used.....
gasp...... tubes.

I was in one of our local hobby stores a couple months ago, and they had a REALLY impressive flight simulator for RC planes. It comes with a USB controller that's designed just like a regular remote control unit.

I was amazed at how life-like it was, other than the fact that I didn't cry every time I crashed the thing. It seemed like it would be a perfect tool for getting a really good feel for flying the RC plane. The only downside was that it was close to $200, with which you can buy a pretty decent *real* RC plane :)
