I just bought a Canon 300mm f/4.0 L IS USM lens off ebay, and I am so excited to use it. Here is one of my pictures (with very little PS, other than cropping and slightly sharpen). What do you think?
Now I really need to learn my birds (that's one class I didn't take in college, lol!)
I now want to get a 1.4x telephoto converter for more reach. From what I've read, there is very little loss of resolution. Anyone use one of these?

Very nice image indeed. I am particularly fond of the DOF.
We don't have that many birds back yet, and the few that are here are still wearing their parkas and snow boots.
