Can you really find out about anything on DPC?

I've had this bump growing on the corner of my eyelid for a few years now. I actually have one on the corner of my right eye too. Any ideas what it is or what kind of doctor I might see to have it looked at / removed?

looks like a liquid-filled cyst of somekind. I'm no know-it-all, but I would see a dermatologist or optometrist. I have gotten little blisters on the inside edges of my eyelids and I always pop them right away, so I don't know what happens when they're allowed to grow. Maybe it's the same thing, but I don't know.

Looks like a sebaceous cyst of some kind. Anything come out of it (when poked with a needle)? Can be removed or surgically drained.
see a dermatologist.

Maybe in the next few years you might think of dropping into your family doctor and asking him or her for a recommendation?

ROFL ... Probably tears, blood, vitreous humour, and even some brains if poked hard enough ... LOL

Go over to the body-piercing thread to see what you can do about it. ;-)

I actually did see a doctor about a year ago but living in a small town the medical profession here is far from... adequate. She didn't know what it was but said it didn't look cancerous.

So I manned up today and popped it with a needle. A couple drops of clear liquid came out and now it's red and irritated a little but I imagine that probably just from being poked. If it starts to look infected I may go back to the local vet... I mean doctor.

I do most of my online medical research here:

//emedicine.com

They have both client- and practioner-level information available (you may have to register). It's basically a medical textbook online ...
