As long as the person can pull it off, I don't really think its weird. I'm pretty sure Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday has it, and he can pull it off for sure.

My wife had her tongue. I hated it with a passion.

She has a labret that I really, really like, and she just had her ears done in 8g plugs.

Her best friend has a big septum ring. They always make people look like stereotypical bulls.

Now tattoos, I love. As long as they have meaning. No cartoon characters. :p

I have a friend that suffered some pretty bad tooth decay due to her tongue piercing. Something about a chemical reaction with the saliva that caused the weakening of the enamel. Glad I had an aversion to that from the beginning.

Noses OK I guess. Not a big fan of large holes in the ears tho.

Man, you got the bottom lip done... how long did it take to heal? I've been considering one for a while.

its actually called Vertical Labret, a lip ring doesnt actually go through the lip. this one does go through my lip. for it to fully heal it took about 2 months.

hmm.. not sure about that, but I've got mine done (tongue), and the biggest thing to worry about is the metal bar hitting the teeth and breaking off/rubbing off the enamel that way

Heck yea! Raisin Bran was very difficult to eat. I gave up after I chipped 9 teeth.

I've had my lip pierced a few times and it always healed up very nicely - mostly healed in the first few weeks. During that time it was always a VERY bad idea to take it out for more than a minute or so or I may as well have re-pierced my lip trying to get the ring back in.

The lip was way better than the tongue or nose piercings I had (IMO of course).

It seems so popular, so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon, but I never do anything half-assed and now I think I might have a problem...

So, is anyone jumping off a bridge later?

Lip rings heal alot faster, vertical labrets go through more skin and takes longer for it to heal because of that, and since its through your lip you need to take super good care of it

Looks good. I've never been a fan of that piercing. I had my septum pierced for a few years but it never seems to heal. it ALWAYS smelled totally foul. lol. I'm so thankful to not be smelling that stench anymore. :P
