I will be spending a few days there. Does any one have any must-shoot sites? Upload your PCB images! |

These guys are on the south side of Shell Island, adjacent to Santa Rosa State Park in Panama City Beach.

There are boats that chage to take people out to see the porpoises. If my brother was not out to sea, he would be happy to take you out.
Santa Rosa State Park is a nice place to get some shots of the white sand beaches. Tyndall Air Force Base owns a lot of the land in the area and a lot of it is beach front property, which means it has not been developed. I used to go for walks through the woods to the beach any time of the day or night and have the beach to myself. It's been so long since I've lived there that I can't tell you exactly where to go now.
Farther west, Applachicola and Port St. Joe are great places to get shots of a quaint, old fishing and shrimping village with a lot of marshes around (give Bear Music a run for his money on marsh shots).
Also in the Port St. Joe area is a state park that I think is called St. Joe State Park. It is a fantastic island or penninsula to get some sunset shots, especially this time of the year with the sun setting more towards the southwest. This park also has some very tall sand dunes of pure white sand.

If you're into local color and sort of victorian architecture, Seaside is such a cool place. You can get some awesome shots there, and some great "stock" kind of stuff if you're into that. Stores, art gallery, restaurants, a cool looking church. It's been a while since I was there, but I wouldn't miss it if I was going to be in the area. It's about maybe 30-40 miles west of PCB. Of course the beach
Maybe Zoo World, it's hard to get a good capture there, but if you are creative and good at what you do, which you are then you can get a few good shots out of that place.
