| Can someone please clarify exactly what the difference between "Open Challenge" and "Exclusive Open Challenge" is? thanks... |

Every week there are two open challenges, but you may enter only one of them. This was done to cut down the number of submissions in each individual challenge. Before they set this up, there was only one open challenge each week and it was regularly drawing 500+ entries, making it a real pain to vote on.
Thus the "exclusive" in front of the "open"; enter one, it excludes the other. Sometimes they have extra open challenges in a given week (one of them is closing tonight, the "langdon's birthday" challenge, and these are not "exclusive", meaning you can enter two open challenges this week.

Exclusive Open Challenges are posted every Wednesday morning. There are 2. You may enter 1.
Open Challenge is open to any one...member or not.
There used to be only 1 challenge posted on Wed. morning. A second challenge was introduced to spread out the number of entries because open challenges were getting very large and onerous to vote on. The "Langdon's Birthday" challenge is an extra challenge this week...additional challenges like this are not always available. |
