I was thinking of picking up this lens, Tokina 400mm Review , but have had trouble finding if this will indeed work on a D70s without getting "chipped".
From what I understand a D70/D70s will NOT meter for AI-S lenses.
AI-S lenses are all MF correct?
Since this is an auto-focus lens it is not AI-S?
I know that this will definately meter and AF on a D200 but haven't found if it will on a D70/D70s.

I checked in the lens section but it's not listed.
thanks,
ryan

AI/AI-s are all MF

there are some lenses (45P 500P 85pc) that are not AF but still will meter with modern cameras

the issue is that 5.6 lens may be to dark to focus/meter with the D70
