Hey check it out. My Busy Bee shot won the Annual Award on Daily Awards. com today!

This is the same Bee shot that I used in a previous NOISE challenge here at dpc.

Daily Awards is not as popular as DPC and is run very differently, but it feels pretty good to know that my Busy Bee shot will appear on the front page for a year !

Congrats on the Annual award Ken. It's a great image. To capture that detail on a flying bee is fantastic. Was this image cropped any? If not, it's even more amazing. Keep up the excellent work.

That image was cropped, if I remember, "a little". It was taken with my old 60mm f2.8 Macro Nikor so didn't need much cropping. I think I had to corp off some junk on the right side.

Thanks Greetmir,

Although the site dailyawards.com does not get the traffic that dpchallenge does, it's going to be nice having my photo on the front page for a year.

I'm going to add a link to my daily awards profile on that site that will guide users to an online store for some of my shots. It may help me sell one or two this year.
