Okay, here's the layers in PS:



The background copy has a guassian blur on it, 17 radius if I remember. Blending mode is set to hard Light. For the final I obviously masked off the sky since it increased the contrast to much.

here's the curves for the g-blur layer:


I think the rest is pretty straight forward, levels to bump the brightness in the foreground and masked the sky and bright spots in the water, gradient to add some warmth to the sky, but masked the bottom because it made the water oarnge.

Oh, also.

On the final version I flattened all the layers and used the Lonestar Digital LBHR sharpening action. SaaaaWeeeet action.

One-point-five. I don't like the unnatural trees and the green paint on the mountain side in number 1.

I don't like blown highlights unless it's candid photography so 1 is out. I'd say it's a toss up between 1.5 and 2. I could go with either.
