i believe that's a scanner.

| Yep, scanning back. Cool technology, though it does take some time to acquire a full image. Better Light has some full-resolution images available that are viewable with "zoomify." Pretty cool. Note the technical details on the images. Mostly the acquisition times are in minutes, from 1.3 to several minutes per image. Shooting a pano with a DSLR can net you the same kind of resolution in about the same time, though the scanning back yields a single image with no stitching required. |
