*sings*
Back to school. Back to school, to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool.
I got my lunch packed up, my boots tied tight, I hope I don't get in a fight.
Ohhhh, back to school. Back to school. Back to school. Well, here goes nothing.
September 2007, I go back to finish my business degree. I'm hoping taking 7 years off between semesters won't hamper my ability to learn at the same rate as the 18 year olds.
Just 'cause I ain't so good at the math or the ritin' don't mean I can't do just as good or gooder. Right! Riiiiiiiiiiight??????

Are you sure you want to do that? That's crazy stuff... I know I couldn't. You must be really interested in business :)

It's not the easiest way to do it but it is not impossible. I waited 6 years between my BS and MS degress and then 7 years between my MS and PhD. You will be doing a bunch of reviewing (relearning) but you will find that your time management skills should be much better than the young ones. One suggestion, treat it like a job. Get as much work done during the day (before and between classes) instead of pulling the late nighters. I even went as far as doing most of my reading in the morning when I was freshest and doing the plug and crank type work in the afternoons when the brain was starting to slow down.
Good luck!
Tim

That's a great way of looking at it and something I keep telling myself "hey I have actual experience now!"...the first time around I did good in school but hardly went to any classes and rarely handed in a paper. So i figure with a little brushing up over the summer I can ace the next 2 years. Plus, I look about 17 so tis all good --- I get people asking me what 'grade' I'm in all the time. |
