OUT -:

1 Sigma 28-79 ED-DG f2.8
2 Tokina AT-X Pro 12-24 f4
3 Nikkor DX 18-70 f3.5-4.5 ED

IN :-

1 Nikkor AF-s 70-300mm VR-IF-ED

Went out for a quick blast with it today and first impression is I quite like it. It is not so fast in terms of F-Stop but the VRII works great on normal and active modes. Now to try and get a submission with it..

I thought about getting the 18-200VR but to be honest I have the lower end covered by my 17-35 beast so it was no need I wanted more reach and the 70-300 is way sharper at 200mm than the 18-200 (obviously).

I gave my Wife hanae my Sigma EX18-50mmf2.8DC and she loves it.

I had both the 70-300 VR and my current 70-200 f2.8 in my hands for a test. It was a hard decision but I went with the NON VR 70-200 2.8

I went with it b/c I had the 18-200mm VR and rarely had opportunity to really see what the VR could do. And when I did need/use it...there was movement on the stage that "blurred" out b/c of the slow shutter.

Post some shot with the 70-300, I'd like to see some.

That's actually not a Nikon, it's a Canon upside down, so that the final 'N' is showing.

Heres a tip for all Canon users.

If you want to prevent your prized Canon camera from being stolen, it is a good idea put a Nikon sticker on it...after all, what self respecting thief would waste their time stealing a Nikon.

I took this advice and placed Nikon stickers over the Canon logo (please see image above). In fact, it is said that when walking down the street, people have been known to cross over to the other side of the road when spotting a Nikon hanging from the neck.
