Hey Nilesh,

Show us things that we havent seen before, show us how your city moves, the people, the buildings, the light.
From having a look at the images you have posted you have a good enough understanding of your camera, so instead of worrying about technicals too much get out there and find out why you love photography so much, why it moves you, if it does move you?

your last challenge entry is technicaly very good but it lacks context. who is he? where is he? stranger or family member/friend? show us the environment.
or if you do want to just show us his face only, surprise us.
Use this image by xion for example.

"technically" a very similar portrait, but the emotion and the interesting crop seperates it from a normal portrait. it hits you and I wouldnt change a thing about, but I look at yours and think "if only I could see his eyes better, if only it had a different crop (don't be scared to break the "rules") , if only he didnt look so numb, if only the light was used better."

Also a lot if people will not agree with me here, but shoot for yourself, screw the challenges. Keep the challenges in the back of your mind and you see something that you can enter shoot it, hell if its worth shooting then you should have shot it anyway.
Personally I would much prefer to come home with great photographs that I am unable to enter in any challenges than a challenge entry that I couldnt give a shit about.

alternatively just stick to the formula.

Glad you posted Nick, you have an awesome portfolio and challenge entry history, an easy fav for me. I'll remember your advice above as what not to do; hat's off to you.

Hi,

Thanks for good Reply Nic. It will help me.
Actually I tried both the things that is shooting for me & shooting for others. As per as criticising myself I believe many times I did mistake by not avoiding the temptation of using short titles as well as trying to catch an image which will be unique, not repeated, in the contest. In the process of doing this either I was short with context or may be unable to reach the expectations of the competition from the viewers point of view.
Regards,

Nilesh.
