I have a cool idea for Alt Meds. I stopped somewhere on the way home from work and after explaining my concept to a shop owner they were very excited. In trade for a print of the result, they are going to help me set it up today.
I am excitied, and wish I could say more.

YAY!!! Tony well done man... good to see you approaching people lately and getting results.. ROCK ON!
Today Im off to Cambridge with the wife, my son, and her friend, we will also be meeting BENHUR up there, he is a DPC member. gonna meet at the uni and I will be trying out the D1X for the first time. I might consider buying it as a 2nd body.

low key, a dismay!
free study: down to 6.55 (in the last 2 days) from a high 6.9 at 100+ votes. whew!
acronym finished at 33rd place. 6+
who's the team to beat? how do you know which teams are competing?

I got my Alternative Medicine shot in. I am so happy with it. It is exactly how I imagined it. Please wish me luck, this one took a lot of thinking to get. I am trying. I did everything I possibly could have on this one. It actually felt like work, but now that I did it, I am happy.

Oh well. My opinion must differ greatly that the DPC community. What I thought was a great shot with a lot of effort is only scoring a 5.35.
It looks like I'll be keeping my day job.

Hi crew, well Im doing really bad too so it must be contageous mate LOL.. don't worry Tony, we will score what we get and do as good as we can, it's great you are making the effort and getting out and shooting having fun, don't let a silly thing like a score get in the way, just enjoy your photography man..

My red is doing REALLY BAD. I recognized that my ice got a lot of votes below 5 which I think is a bit too much (even ones...)
Do you know how we did against Stranger?

Not sure yet as the site is not updated .. Im pretty sure we did ok though. I think everyones having a bad run in this one so please do not worry about it.. we made a team, we made new friends, that's important.

My red is creeping into the 6s, was expecting something a bit better against the top guys this week.. if we loose and oputcasts win they will go through.. they are playing team starnger so we will have to hope they can pull some tricks this week to help us out..
my furniture is sucking badly... around 5.6

Actually it depends on average for the team as to who goes through.. pressuming, of cause we loose to serendipity and that outcasts can beat team stranger.. but if we manage a higher team average than outcast we would go through..
Im above a 6 now for red2 and it is rising steadily too so Im happy with that, even if we don't make the play-offs we must still keep the team going too.. of cause if anybody WANTS to leave then please do as you wish but we have a nice tight unit here we can build on.

You know what?... I just been looking at WPL4 Update and to be honest I think we can nail serendipity, their average is not as good as Outcasts I think if we can get 4 of us in the 6s we might just be in with a great chance of dealing with them. We have been hitting some good average scores lately and I hope we can do it without team strangers help.. the division looks tight..
Davidus-you are most welcome mate of cause. WPL5 will be after this one and a small break.. but I feel we have the POWER to get into the play-offs

Wish I could say I was doing the same. My furniture entry is at 4.9.

This has been a humbling experience so far. My only recent entry to break 6 was the one that didn't count (Trees).
I'm not giving up though.
My work schedule is crazy for the next ten days but I'll do my best to get entries in.
Don't bench me yet coach, I can do better.

Nobody will be benched, the team is the team, if people wish to step down due to over work whatever then that is totally fine but I will never terminate any member from the team.
besides, we have 3 so far over 6 and we aint heard from our very own crocodile dundee yet. come on GATORGUY where are ya?.. oh wait... he don't have his score turned on if i remember right.
Im trying to decide what lens to get next... I have to many so-so lenses and since getting the 17-35 i have realised what GOOD glass is all about now. thinking about 3 for now.
28-70 f2.8
18-200VR
70-300VR
I kinda miss a bit of zoom after parting with the old 80-400VR but it was not AFS and was VR1...nice but not super nice.

my favorite is the 17-35mm 2.8. All-around, almost always on my D200.
the next fave is the 70-200mm 2.8 VR (gray version). So sharp, excellent for portraits and street. Next in line of course, is my 105mm macro.
i have a lot of lens I seldom use. One of these is the 28-70mm f2.8 dubbed "the Beast." Heavy lens, very sharp but the range is not as useful as the 17-35mm. Good for studio/formal use but not to lug around.
Since you miss your 80-400 VR MAK, i think your best next lens will be the 70-200mm VR. 70-300 VR is good but you'll miss the f2.8 for sure.
btw, my RED entry has gone down from 6.5 to 5.75 (but rising again).
