I had fun today...I had to go to a sale by the visiting Harvey Norman company. I had to help them with the layout leading up to the sale and when I was there today ended up buying a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L USM and a 10.4" digital photo frame with built in audio ability and remote control.
But whilst I was there a Canon rep was there and I ended up teaching him and a few other staff a few new techniques...lmao!! They ended up going away with a shopping list instead of me...hahahaha!!
Anyways...thought I would share the news of my new toys with you all.

| Nice piece of glass. I borrowed one from a friend once and it has been on my shopping list since then. Look forward to seeing your new lens in action. |

Judi, that just proves that when you talk, people listen. But just what new "techniques" did you teach these guys? ;-) Congrats on the new gear, oh, and congrats on being the photo club president! I forgot to say that the other day. |

Thanks all. I taught them how to reverse lens for macro work and he was shocked. I grabbed his Canon watch off him and....well...I might show you once I process it. He couldn't believe the results. I also took him through the Lightsphere with the 580EX and the Bigma. There was a bit more to it...but you get the general idea. He then gave me some shots he had taken earlier today of Kita...and he didn't realise she was my daughter...so he printed them out for me....niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!
So he is now going to be helping me with a project I have been working on for some time and I just told him that I want a Canon watch...lmao!! We will see how long it takes to get it.

Thanks guys....I am sure I will love the lens. I have used the 70-200 2.8 but not this one...so no doubt I will try it out tomorrow. I am too tired right now.
But as promised here are the images I was talking about.
This first one is a macro that I took of the Canon reps watch.
And this is an image that he took of Kita.
