I can't take this waiting for shipping thing! I got my tax return today, and have been planning on buying a Canon EOS 5D, along with some select glass. So, first thing I did this morning was click order (I already had everything saved in my shopping cart for the last few weeks!) Well, I selected the overnight shipping because I NEED my camera ASAP. That, and I have to go for a drive this weekend and wanted to have it with enough time to learn the basics. Now, every minute is spent in agony, waiting for the end of the work day to come, so I can go home and agonize there until I fall asleep sucking my thumb. Then I have to hope that with UPS deliver to a business address, that it comes with our normal shipment at 8 a.m. so I can have all day to slack on my work and play with my new toy. This is like Christmas all over again. No, wait, it's like Christmas, birthday, Easter and everything else all wrapped up in to one! |

Congratulations! Are you thinking of selling any of your Nikon lenses? |

Make sure that no matter what you do, let the battery FULLY charge the first time, while its agonizing its better for the battery. IMHO. And congrats and welcome to the Canon team.

Sorry, I've already sold them all with the exception of one, and that one broke. I still have them listed for ease when adding photos to my portfolio that were taken with that equipment. |

I just bought the Cannon Rebel XT and played the same waiting game. I blew off a few friends to wait for that brown truck to pull into my driveway. He didn't show till almost 5:30pm I was crazy with excitement and just completly worn out with anticipation. I thourally cleaned my house and my car just waiting and drove my husband crazy making him check the traking number.:)
In short, I know your pain!!! But it's all worth it!!!! |

Well, it's gone from the B&H warehouse in Maspeth, NY to Jamaica, NY, wherever that is, but that is all I know for now. At least I am at home agonizing now. Now I just have to go suck my thumb and fall asleep so I can dream about using it tomorrow! I just hope I don't drool too much on my pillow!
edit to correct location

Jamaica is a real sweet kind of place. It's the type of town where you hope you never get lost, and if you do you had better have an armored vehicle. And as most people from Long Island will tell you, you never want to change at Jamaica! (for the train, that is). I hope you track that package OUT of Jamaica soonest!! Good luck! |

Good news. The package has made it out of Jamaica safely and is now in Louisville! (How am I supposed to sleep tonight if I keep having the urge to check the status every hour or so?)

Just get some sleep. It'll make it there just fine. |
