Does anyone know how well the Canon EOS 5D works with infrared photography? I have had a Nikon D70s and used a Hoya R72 filter, I believe. However, I sold that camera and I am upgrading to the 5D. I will be ordering it hopefully within the next week. I know that each camera is different, as well as each lens. So, does anyone with experience in this area have a suggestion for a filter to purcahse? I would be buying the 77mm filter size for use with the 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM and the 16-35 f/2.8L USM lenses.

I have the 5D and have played with IR on it...you won't get the coloured version as you would with the Nikon.

I am in the market for Canon EOS 5D Digital SLR Camera. I have been
reading expert reviews and that has been useful to me. It may be help you too. I had been using PCWorld.com, cnet.com to find reviews. Yesterday I used PriceGrabber’s expert review tab (//www.pricegrabber.com/info_expertreviews.php/masterid=11259024)
and found a site (www.smartratings.com) that aggregates expert reviews. It only covers a few categories but it is pretty neat. Just my $.02.
