$795 x 6% GST = $47.70
$103 would be closer to 13% |

I have all alien bee's at my studio, and I really haven't had any problem with them. I have had to order an extra umbrella but thats because the one I had got steped on. make sure you know how to hook it up to your camera, they have a sync you can buy, make sure to buy it if you need it so as not to pay shipping twice

I think you are only supposed to pay gst as part of the free trade agreement. I'm looking at a UPS invoice right now for a $50 item I had shipped to me and it's not making sense... It says:
Duty: $0
GST: $8.24 seems to be too much
Brokerage fee: $29.55
GST on the brokerage fee: $1.78
Total value for duty: $58.86
Total cash on delivery: $39.57
Either way I can't help the feeling that UPS is ripping me off. |

make sure you have a sync slot on your camera, if not order the $15 (i think) hotshoe adapter.
I dont have a light meter yet, it just takes a few mins to set up each shot to get the correct exposure |
