I know... send it to Nikon for repair BUT! I would like to know if there is anything I can try or even if it has happened to anyone else... here's the story...
Last time I used this lens was for the Richmond Park GTG it was fine then.
I put it on my D200 on the f32 lock mode as usual and got this fEE flashing in the window, it would not fire.
I put the lens on my wifes D50 same f32 locked mode and it was fine... AGGGGHHHHHHHH! MY CAMERA IS SCREWED I thought BUT!!! when I tried it with manual aperture ring I got the same fEE error on her cam too... sooooo I tried it back on mine in manual aperture and found that it actually works ob f8 and f5.6 but it works as if in f32 lock mode (this meas i can change aperture by camera wheel) strange i think... it has not been dropped, knocked or anything.. I cannot understand what has happened.
Any stories, advice, tips, tricks would be very much appreciated. I have sent a mail to Nikon UK and I am waiting for their reply..
Thanks..... I needed a venting |

That stinks MAK. Wish I could help with a solution. Have you tried the forums on NIKONIANS? Tons of good info there.
Good Luck Captain.
