It would be great if there were a way to figure out what threads you had posted a photo to, perhaps on the "edit portfolio image" page, or even on the photo page itself. I find myself wondering why a number of things are in my workshop folder and if it's worth keeping them there... |

I also agree. On other forum sites you have a feature called "Find all posts by username" which I've always found incredibly helpful. Having this option would help keep the Watched threads list down to a minimum making it more useful as a result.

Definitely...I find I really have to rely on my memory when discussing old forums with other people....can be a pain...and especially when the forum search feature is down.

a simple solution might be to link to the thread in the photogs comments section upon upload - for future reference

Yes...but that doesn't help when you want to find a forum that you know you participated in, but you didn't feel the need at the time to put it in the watch list. Sometimes circumstances change and you want to get that forum thread back for further reading....and that is where the 'Find all posts/threads started by (enter name)" would really be a handy feature.

An automotive site I've been a member of for about 10 years has a nice feature in it's image library.
Under the image is a reference, in hyperlink form, of any threads that image has been used in. |

Reason they did this was the the image library was originally the image library was where we could upload oscilloscope captures (like an EKG for a car) and make reference to them in technical threads. By having the links available, the sponsoring members can search the image library, find a scope pattern for a make/model of a car, then click the links to do some more reading and learning.
I've kind of adopted this way of thinking and adding similar in the comments section of edits/fixes I do.
