Well today I went to the national Microsoft 2007 Launch presentation. What the heck, a few hours and ya get a full copy of Office 2007 Professional for free. There were several booths setup as venders tried to promote their wares. I dropped a card into the one from H.P. At the end of the presentation I got my copy of Office and then heard my name called. I had also just won the H.P. grand prize of a HP Photosmart R927 8.2 MP digital camera, docking station and camera case. Not a bad haul for an afternoon ;). Should make a good backup camera to my canon 5D & Canon 20D.

Wow, you were lucky! The one and only time my card was pulled, I was running the thing and couldn't accept the prize!
If the event you attended was anything like the one I attended in late January, it must have been a madhouse. I swear there were 1000 people (no exaggeration) at the afternoon sessions for the one I attended, and the morning was just as packed (it was also full).

They held it at the Marriot Rivercenter Hotel. It's the biggest and fanciest conference center in town. I'm sure it cost Microsoft a fortune. They had it for two days and several different 1/2 day sessions each day. I guess there was over 600 in our room with other rooms doing similar things. One thing for sure, Microsoft spends money to make money. I just installed Office Professional, wow what a difference. None of the applications look the same as Office 2003. It'll take some getting used too for sure.

So for those who own HP P&S, should I open the HP Photosmart R927 8.2 MP digital camera and use it as a backup. How's the photo quality? Or try to sell it off?
