St. Augustine - The old Jail - This jail was built at the turn of the century by Henry Flagler because the jail across from his magnificent hotel was offensive to his "newport clientele" It is located north of the old town on San Marco. Tour guides and tourists alike have experienced the sound of shuffling feet, the smell of putrid unwashed bodies and sanitary facilities(a bucket for 4 prisoners), cold spots and even a shadow entity of an extremely large man- sheriff Perry ( the first sheriff) was over 6'5" tall. Students have even seen a man in a "funky plaid suit" in the main cell block.

I went to ESP (Eastern State Penitentiary) over the summer time. I took a lot of photos and video. I posted the photos on my site. Now remember just cause I post pictures doesn̢۪t mean each one has something paranormal in it. I just love taking photos.

I also see someone posted something about the Old Jail in St. Augustine, I visited there almost two years ago I have around 170 pictures of that place posted on my old photo album.

Thre are only 3 listed for Newfoundland. One of them, the east end fire station here in St. John's was torn down last year. They say L'Anse aux Meadows is haunted by the Vikings, I have never heard that story before. The other one, the Majestic theatre is here in the city. It's not abandoned or anything, they still have shows in there. There is a "haunted walk" downtown in the summer time, someone leads a group all around the city and tells ghost stories about certain buildings/places. I've never gone on the tour.

Chattanooga - Read House - room 311. Believed that during the Civil War that a soldier took a prostitute to this room and killed her. Her ghost haunts that room to this day, running hotel visitors off.

They don't rent this room out anymore :)

We should go and see if we can get in there sometime while you guys are up for the GTG at FCF :) hehehabwwwahahhahahaaaa

Statesboro - The Packing House.
I have never been inside, but I've driven by numerous times...it's terrifying. It's private property so you can't go inside...it's also not in a very nice area. But if you're feeling brave, park nearby and walk inside. I've got numerous friends who have been inside and they are positive it is haunted. Even if it isn't, it's freaky, so I would go anyway. :]

Some Statesboro hauntings not mentioned...

Harville House.
Two old women died here and no one noticed.
It's really only scary because it's old, and it's been completely ripped to shreds. I've not experienced anything paranormal here, though I know people who say they have.

Holland House.
Never been there. I believe it is a Frat house now. Orbs in pictures, that's all I've heard about it.

There is also a house on hwy 80 my friend used to live in, he claimed it was haunted and so do the people currently living there.

Also, nearby hauntings.

Leefield - The Hangin' Tree.
The website lists this as "notorious" but I live very close to Leefield and I have never heard of it. I'm going to investiage further. Leefield is about 15 minutes from Statesboro...on hwy 80 coming from statesboro, you turn left in Brooklet at the gas station/supermarket/food place thing and keep going straight, you'll eventually hit it.

Brooklet - not mentioned, Old Ghost Road.
Never been there. I have some friends who haven, they say it's BS generally. Supposedly, you take this road for about 10 mins and slow down when you see an orange light, and you can see the ghost of a black man digging (either digging his grave or he was a slave) and sometimes he will come closer. I have read online that there are supposedly ghost dogs there, but I've never heard of them locally. To get to Brooklet, take hwy 80 from Statesboro and go toward Lowe's etc, you eventually hit it. It's a very small town.
