Hi,
Need your opinion please. I'll be taking photos at a football (soccer) game on Friday from 4 - 6pm. I'll be using my Fuji FinePix S9500.
I was thinking to shoot on shutter priority, set it to at least 1/350 at F9 ISO 100 (hoping that it will be a bright sunny afternoon with little or no shade).
Do you think this will do? What settings would you suggest?
Thanks!

shutter priority is a good idea ... but i'm more concerned about your lens. what kinda reach do you have?
if it's a bright sunny day, 1/300 or 1/500 wll be fine. maybe up your iso to 200 or 400 if it's shady or overcast.

David it is a 28 - 300mm (35mm equivalent) lens.

Range of F2.8 - F11. But in bright light it usually limits me to F3.5 (I think).

f2.8 is good ... if the lens extends physically, then you'll find that the maximum aperture changes. so at 300 your max is probably 3.5
but that's a good, wide open lens ... so you should have no problems.
i do some footy shooting, my 70-300mm lens is f4.5 to 5.6 ... i have no problems shooting in good weather. i use shutter priority too.
good luck with the event. hope you get some good pix.

You might want to try shooting at 320 ISO if the clouds show up ;). |

Considering the heat wave we've been having, I doubt I'll have to worry about too many clouds. Thanks!
