Oh I'm hoping Little Miss Sunshine wins best picture...
It was sooo fun to watch, it really deserves it!
Also-- Alan Arkin was the best in this film, what a great perfomance-- so frigging funny!

I have seen other nominated films:

Babel- Really good film, but kinda reminded me of "Crash" to much, with the overlaying story lines, still a really good film (if you don't mind reading subtitles).

The Departed- Another great film, Leonardo was amazing in it. With that said, I dont believe it was Scorsese's best work, "Goodfella's" was his best..

I didnt see The Queen or Letters from Iwo Jamo-- Im sure they are good films..

I did watch Dream Girls , and it was just okay-- Jennfer Hudson and Eddy Murphy did a great job, but the film overall was just avg..

Any Oscar thoughts?

They pre-empted The Donald and Rome, and they're on entirely different networks. :(

Total agreement with you. Loved it! But ya, Goodfellas was better. And although I thought Marky Mark was very good, but best supporting actor nomination? I haven't seen any of the other flicks, so can't say anything about them.

Anyways, I went down to Hollywierd this morning to check out the red carpet area and here's what it looked like. I couldn't get too close though.

Ya, and I'm not a big fan either. That part with Clint and getting Spielberg to take a photo of them was pretty funny.
