I've never been able to transfer shots directly from my camera to the computer at USB2 speeds, and I don't know why...?
I just got a new SanDisk CF Card reader, and ZZZZZZOOOOM! The files just fly off the card when I transfer them, but this isn't the case when I connect the camera directly.
Just curious to see what I'm missing here. After realizing how fast the files *should* be moving, I'm a little disappointed in the speed of moving files from the camera. |

usb full speed is usb1.0 (slow)
usb high speed is usb2.0 (fast)
D70 and as far as I know D70s are both full speed. I have same problem. After installing vista my card reader is the only device that does not have drivers. So I have to use camera.

D70 has USB 2.0 connectivity with USB 1.1 speed.....
The D70's max speed is 12 Mbps.
USB 2 should be 240 to 480 Mbps max.
Makes no sense to call it USB 2.0 when it has 1.1 speed.

| Ah. Well, at least I know I'm not merely doing something stupid, as usual :) |
