Has anyone had a good response from buyers when selling prints through this site? (I'm just weighing up the US$50 membership cost). I would imagine that most people using this site would be do-it-yourselfers, not too likely to buy digital prints. |

I've had two people get in contact with me after buying one of my prints to say how great they thought the quality was. :)

I know many people have already raved about it ... but the print quality really IS wonderful :) I'll definitely continue to use DPCPrints for printing.
Hortopth ... the annual fee is USD25 I believe, not USD50 ...

Just curious, how much do you sell there for example, Franziska? It would give us an idea about how many people are buying on the DPCPrints site.
You don't have to answer though ;) |

Well, I've sold 6 to people that I don't know, 3 to a friend and 3 to myself (does that count? ;) To put it in proportion, I've already sold more here in the short time that DPCPrints has existed than in over a year on DAPrints ... and this site is still young.

Check out the FAQ for tons of useful information about file sizes, ratios, and how to's.
To upload a printable file, go to your entry in the portfolio and upload it at the bottom under "Upload a printable file". Then submit for approval.

I actually sold my first print! and I only have 5 up for sale.
It is a bit of a pain the way it is set up right now. I still have not mastered getting the pics on......
How do you put them on without taking up your space? I've used almost all my 10mb...what am I doing wrong?
Also it takes so long to remember where to go to get to that page....

Terry ... congrats on selling your first print ... you do beautiful work so I'm sure that's just the start!
As for the space ... only the small images count toward your 10MB. I usually resize mine so that they are around 100k, I just checked a couple in your portfolio and some of them are up to 600k (the green butterfly), that's much more than you need for the web. I would just replace the web version of a couple of yours with smaller file sizes (don't touch the print file if there is one so that you don't have to reupload that and have it approved again) and that should free up some space for you. :)
