I shot these shots tonight at Davidson College. This is my first try at sports so go easy. All in all for the camera I am using I thought the shots turned out quite well. Also keep in mind these have no post processing yet.

Thanks Jeremy

Nice clear action shots. The first two are nicely exposed but the third one is a tad dark but could be brought up a stop of exposure in photoshop and is an EXCELLENT action capture. Too bad that the ball is not to be found in dunk 1 ... Overall very good IMO for the lighting conditions you were working with. If you could have had a slightly elevated perch (something like a tennis referees seat) you would not have had so much of the lighting getting directly into your lens and I think this might have helped.

Good stuff, love those shots.

What settings did you use eventually? I have a soccer match next week to take pictures at.

nice work. having all that light really helps. i don't know how representative what you've posted is of what you shot, but you might want to shoot some a bit tighter.

I'd crop 2&3 to be vertical and crop 1 a bit (get rid of some stuff on the left).

Basketball pics sometimes benefit if you turn your camera to portrait orientation.
