Would have made for great street photography if it weren't for all the trees, and would have made for a great tree photo if not for all the hula hoopers...

i hate it when hula hoopers and trees happen at the same time!

why can't they have the sense to find their own territories?

On the other hand, I also feel some of what Mary is feeling: that Team Suck is an alternative to WPL, a safe haven from that environment. It most certainly does NOT function that way for everyone, obviously enough, since a handful of suckers are in the WPL, but that function should still be available for anyone who wants it.

I feel the same way to a point. I'm also on a WPL team and I always feel I have to get a shot in or I'm letting the team down. Here at team suck, the preasure isn't there. Everyone is cool about it. If you can't make it, you can't make it. No big deal.

I would have no problem if Team Suck joined the WPL. I would give up the other team for this team. I would just hope that the thrill of competition wouldn't get too strong for some people and cause them to take it to seriously.

Of course, when ever team Novice wins, I've noticed that my scores are too low to be counted or I missed that week. Hmmmm, I wonder if there is a corrilation.

Hey Melethia, I'm very new to PS but what I use for perspective correction in CS2 is:

Filter | Distort | Lens Correction

This works really well for me.

Well, you're stompin' me flat. I'm at 5.1. Given how it varied during the week, I'm just happy to be above 5!

Music's drifted up to 5.3ish, where it'll probably stay.

ROFLMAO! Funny.

I find myself almost FRANTIC for the street photography rollover. Dayam, I must be a sucker for punishment.

But maybe ... just maybe ...

You can't post this here! It's photography-related!! You're going to ruin our reputation!

Most enjoyed the photos, David. I must say, there are a lot of pictures of the biker babes and hair cut hotties booth :-) It looks like a really good time. The photo of the guy in the stockades holding two beers made me ROFLMAO. I wonder if he could maneuver them over to his mouth?

Griz, I disagree. I think the gallery is a very good collection, but you're right about it showing the good time. It really gives a feel for the event -- quite an elaborate affair!

I'm not exactly eager for Street to begin, since I never got a shot I just loved. I ended up cropping a smallish section out of a larger view, which never does good things for clarity.

But this is my first challenge entry edited with my new Graphire tablet! :) Takes some getting used to, but I'm loving the variable size brush - just press harder and the brush gets bigger. And erasing is as easy as flipping the pen over.

Yes it was a fun time and the neat thing is it raises money for a good cause. dont know what it raised this yr. but last year it raised just over 100,000 dollars. Hope it done that good again. I think its awesome when you can raise mone for a good cause and have fun doing it.

Yippee! Congrats, Griz. Left ya a comment.

Can we stop Street voting now? After 3 votes I have a 7.0. :) It's guaranteed to drop (I mean, I wouldn't vote it a 7), but it's sure a nice start after fruits & veggies hit 5.1. :)

Wonderful picture, griz! I didn't have time to vote on any of the Fruits and Veggie photos, but I'll try to make some time for comments.

Fellow Suckers ... Please see my recent post in this thread and let me know if you think I am being a dick or just stubbornly defending myself ...

... Nevermind ... They deleted my post and left only an out of context quote of it.

Gee, I'm very amazed with my best score to date. Not that it is anything to brag about but I'm pleased with a 5.5 in F&V. YEAH.

New personal bests are always worth bragging about! I know at least one other Sucker who had one, too.

5.5 is excellent, I'd love some more 5.5s.

(Though to do that I'd have to actually enter something...) ;)
