i have no interest as to the context.
i also suggest that you remove the images you posted from this thread.

Surely you can see the irony in someone getting self-righteous about outtakes when they themselves have been littering the site with outtakes of what they've currently got entered in a challenge...

For what it's worth, I sent in the ticket about your outtake thread. I'm one of the people that raised hell about outtake threads until the current forum rules were implemented. I have always thought that posting outtakes before the end of a voting period takes away from the current challenge and can even deter people from entering. How would you like it if you entered a shot in a challenge. Then in the forums you saw someone elses shot that was kinda like yours but WAY better. How would you feel? Would you pull it from the challenge? To do so would rob you of the learning opportunity wouldn't it?

If you are gonna hate, hate on me...

Bottom line ...

I STILL maintain that is was NOT an outake thread. YOU called it that. I was simply asking people to go critique recent pictures of mine that I had posted in a folder called In The Streets which had NO similarity to anything I submitted into the Street Photography challenge. I consider getting reported for this similar to having someone call the police because I had something caught in my throat and spat on the street breaking city bylaws. I might get a ticket but was the citizen really so very very concerned about the community?

At any rate ... it was deleted and it is all over now. You win.

I give up.

Calm down meester. :)

Really, take a step back. Similarity to your challenge entry has nothing to do with the price of fish. If I enter a shot, for example, in trees, then my actual entry could be one tree on its own, my outtake could be a forest. Completely different - still an outtake, because it's a possible shot that I didn't use.

Your opinion on what is an outtake may differ, of course, but then, you have to think, well, how could anyone possibly know what your entry is, and, therefore, how "similar" a potential outtake is to it. Only you know that.

Quite similar actually - again, how would they know you had something in your throat and weren't just breaking the rules? Of course, they could ask you I guess, but who knows what that might result in. A big argument maybe? ;)
