Lots of people asked for directions on how to do my self portrait:

I set up my cam on a tripod within arms reach. Then I put a red light bulb in my desk lamp. I put the lamp almost in my lap and the cam right behind it.

Set the cam to manual: 4 seconds, f7.1 aperture, 100 ISO, then I

1. Set the timer. Popped up the flash.
2. Half pushed the button to focus with the red light on.
3. Turned the red light off.
4. Pushed the button.
5. As soon as it flashed, I turned the red light on with my left hand and moved slightly to the left with my eyes closed, then opened them. (for the last 3.8 seconds or so)

That's pretty much it. The original with exif is //www.pbase.com/image/18252879&exif=Y\

:) People asked about my triptych and my SP and symmetry...I guess I use confusing setups sometimes. lol None of the above pics scored above 5.7...maybe I should STOP using those setups!

I'm watching E.R. now. Have I ever mentioned that you look like Carter?
