I posted my outtakes of my self-portrait.

There were a few people interested in how it was done. Basically I set up shot on a tripod about 15 feet out from the dock. Set the flash for 3 flashes per second (other shots were different) and hit the timer and waited for the last second to jump. The water was amazingly cold. I wasn̢۪t kidding when I said 49 degrees. The first night I could only do it twice before I was too cold. The second night I had a few of my fire dept buddies up there just in case I had a heart attack or something.
I had such a fun time making this shot. I never would have tried that without this challenge. I guess this site is really a learning tool after all. Oh and while chatting with some people on DPChat I was asked if I was going to be naked. Well the last shot I did was and was probably the funniest thing to do.

Thanks, I have been called a character many times so I guess it must be true. I try when shooting for a challenge shot to do or get something that is either something I haven̢۪t done before or hopefully hasn̢۪t been seen before. At first I was really concerned about my score, now I don̢۪t care about score as much as trying to get comments. I love some of the things that people say.

I really wanted that shot to work. I ended up bringing up 10 shirts and 8 pairs of shorts to try it but it was too damn cold. I wanted to have 2 images of me in the zen style shot. 1 above the water and the other splashing in. However I gave in to the cold.
