Well i have had a busy week and today got interesting filling my day with mustangs of all sorts!
This 07 Shelby GT500 made it into the shop today with a little problem. Its new and has half a tank but for some reason the low fuel light was on. The car wasn't supposed to be fixed until tomorrow, but the mechanic insisted on fixing it today. We later found out why because he wanted to do it before he quit! We will miss you Ralph!

Some idiot apparently wants to break it... or just the rim!
In case you'd like to know what one costs well about 25,000 more then we paid for it!

Europe see's mustang sales figures around 100 per year. Which means they don't even bother making them there. SO how would you go about getting one? Goto your local dealer and ask they'll call us and well build you one!
This Canadian gauge cluster was fitted to this mustang before it was prepped to ship overseas. (Pics taken in low light blurry)

I got the displeasure of racing my boss and the former boss in this Mustang V6.... unknown to me at the time because i thought all three of them were GT's.... i was the only one with the 230 HP 4.0 V6 5 Speed (Yes the ice was on the hood before and after which yes would be illegal if it had been on public roads) (Mustang had less then 3 miles on it)

And then the randomness begins.....
Broke a rear window
Saw this BMW bike on the way home
And me goofing off at work

Well I had fun burning the clutch and tread off a brand new Mustang (check first post) and getting to do it with my boss's permission. What sucked was it being a v6! |

Too bad you didn't get a chance at the Cobra.
Any idea what the 0 - 60 mph numbers are? |

Their talking 4 and a half's pulling slow mid 12's in the quarter. At idle it sounds like a v6, but when she opens up you just want to get in.

Its okay i forgot to mention, because i was so excited.
I think i got a used car salesmen fired. He left keys to an 04 Mazda on my desk so i took them to the used car sales manager. I told him when he finds out who it was remind him to not do that because last time a car got stolen. He said oh when i find him im gonna fire him..... Oops. |

Looking at this thread has made me sad. I have my 2005 GT convertible in the garage until March. Man, I miss driving it. I do get to look at it everyday, and I had to back it out of the garage a few days ago to get my plow ready for the Northeastern Pennsylvania Valentine's Day Snowstorm.
RainMotorSports: Do you recommend any particular supercharger? I don't need 500hp, but 425-450 would be nice to have in case.

Thats a very good question, one thing if u trust me run me your vin on monday between 8AM and 5PM EST. SO i can grab the compression on your motor or figure it out and let me know.
One of the things that have shyed people away from superchargers in the past is the it takes power to make power. 4th and 5th Generation Eaton Roots type superchargers have a pulley clutch and bypass so that at idle the pulley disengages much like your air conditioner and the motor aspirates through a normal throttle body. ANd at speed the pulley engages and you get boost.
If your looking for something fun and unconventional i suggest you check out Thomas Knight. They're famous for their products and their unique applications. They make a boosthead for anything. They have a 3 turbine electric supercharger. Most people refer to it as electric nitrous. One hit from the battery bank and you can get upwars of 15 to 20 PSI of boost (if desired) for probly no more then 30 seconds. The battery pack has alot to say about the performance. Its a temporary boost just to give you that edge but without doing to many upgrades.
If you have the money Rousch and Saleen sell kits including thier body parts but im not fond of Saleens 05 and up crap... thats exactly what i feel it is. But the supercharger kits your going to find will be alot like fords. |
