I can belive this, honey has some cool properties, including the facet it is not prone to spoil because of its low moisture contenet and high sugar while low mineral most bacterias/molds/and yeasts cannot live in raw honey.

Also there are enzimes in honey that when brought to about98.6 deg turn into something akin to hydrogenperoxide, you can literally use honey o sterlize wounds.

As for the mystry food, I agree with the fact it is expired.
