I calibrated with Spyder....prints come out Waaaaaaaayyyyy better however, when I look at my prints under "kitchen" incandesant light they look different than when I take by a sunlit window....

...then look "truer" to the screen colors by the sunlit window. Is this something that everyone sees or is it just me and my Canon IP5000?

Thanks

The sunlight is bluer than the incandescents, so that's why the color shift. And yeah, I see it too.

The color of the sunlight is closer to the color of the "whitepoint" that you set during calibration, so, that's why it looks better in the sunlight.

Do you process in a room with incandescents? That probably has a part to do with it. If you went outside and processed your picture to your liking, the print would probably look better outside instead of inside.

Hello,

I calibrated inside in a darkened but not pitch black room. I process usually under a room incandesant bulb. The print matches very close to what I see on the screen except for a slight red hue on the parts that should be yellow..(dead grass, weeds etc.) I also notice that a blue sky looks somewhat (very lightly) aqua/greenish....

...when I take that same print to the sunlight...the dead grass looks yellow again and the sky looks as blue as on the monitor....

....does this make sense ?

Still learning here....
