I've seen some pretty cool examples of some trick photos taken here, and was looking to try some stuff out on my own. Does anyone have any links/websites that might show some trick photography tutorials? I'm actually looking to be able to do this with an intro high school class that is using 35mm film, so they couldn't be tricked out in photoshop.

I think the students want to try stuff like the head sticking out of the picture frame, floating objects, etc.

Suggestions? Thanks!

I don't have any links offhand but if you can't find something, you might consider contacting graphicfunk. He's got a portfolio full of tricks and most are done under the basic editing rules.

Trick: shortening+food coloring+sugar=unmeltable ice cream*

Scoop it up, throw it in a cone, take hundreds of pictures of happy kids with ice cream without it melting all over them.

*note: do not eat unmeltable ice cream...it tastes like fat/sugar/dye...not like ice cream!

Instant mashed potatoes with food coloring works too.
