Hi folks! I said I was going to do this then sorta didn't get out and shoot, then had to go away for a week... but I have REALLY enjoyed seeing all the places where you guys live! This is a great idea! So to give back a bit, I'll post some stuff from where I live. Please note - you DO NOT need to comment! Some of this was shot earlier, some much earlier, some recently, and not all of it is really "comment worthy" - just sharing some views with y'all (Texas term, even though I'm in Germany!)
This is an outtake from when I shot for the "Dirt" challenge - shows the town where I live up there on top of the hill. Where I'm shooting from is near the little train station for my town:

I have kept up here, posting once each day, but I'm so slow at post processing that by the time I'm done, I never have time for comments! I don't know how you all do it, but I love seeing the shots you're taking (yes, I am looking), and I love reading your comments (the ones left on other photos, and especially the ones you're leaving for my shots, it's so encouraging).
I keep telling myself, tomorrow I'll make 40 comments, so this time I'm telling you all . . . tomorrow I'll make 40 comments!

Day 14 I was asked once about the view out my back window. Here is a shot from my kitchen window this morning. It is snowing, and I am shooting through a screen, but that's what I see--wires and all!

Day 14, Another very cold night down by the lake in Oshawa, Ontario Canada. I wanted to show how big the waves were, I couldn't get any closer as the ice you see in front isn't that thick and the lake water is underneath. Can be decieving as it looks solid but isn't.

Okay, the Internet connection is finally back up and working consistently (well at least on my laptop) at home so here is my catch up. Sorry for putting so many pictures in one post. :/
Day 10
The completely (well in the process of) refinished Imperial Motel on Main Street, Canton, NC.
Day 11
The Robertson Memorial YMCA building. It closed several years ago, and now the building houses Bethel Christian Academy.
Day 12
Morning Star UMC, established 1832
Day 13
Trading Post and General Store. Established late 1800s. Closed this past summer
Day 14
Yea, another mill shot. Sorry, but I liked the lighting, etc.
Day 15
Lotsa cattle farms around here
