I'm back! Melbourne was fanbloodytastic! Didn't shoot as much as I'd wanted to, but I think I've got something that may do ok for fruit & veg. Not sure I want to enter either of the open challenges though, so I hope you guys have got the goods for those.
Here's where I'm at with current challenges (nice surprise to come home to):

I'm hangin' at 6.29 in Personification. My Good has been falling but it's still my higher score. Yup - looks like a good week for the Femmes. Woo-hoo!!

Way to go Aimee!
I'm not overly confident about my Fruit/Veg entry. It's a solid shot technically (I think so anyway), has one of the required subjects, and is not boring (also what I think ;P)... but it doesn't immediately hit you over the head. So I'm crossing my fingers that voters will be lenient with me! :D

I'm in fruit and veg but need some clarification on these biology/music challenges. I just don't understand this schooldays thing :o( Can you ladies help with an explanation??? Sorry for the dumb question :o(

I've wondered the same thing myself Talj. There was a lot of confusion with geometry/chemistry. People believing it had to be taken at a school, others saying not necessarily, more saying it really had nothing to do with school. I dunno... which is why I'm giving these ones a wide berth this time around.
edit: Sweet jeebers! I think I'm headed for the brown in fruit&veg. Looks like I may have to pull out a miracle and try for school days after all...

Yep, mine is whiterook too. Appears from the scores thread that this guy believes every photo had to have fruit AND veg in it....oh dear oh dear.....

i was going to post yesterday that i had submitted a f&v, but that I didn't like it. . .
It is scoring a 5.7.
Just to let you know how "off" I am. I predicted  nards656's picture would score at least a 6.3, if not 6.7 or 6.8. I predicted mine would be 4.6. I'm 5.7, his was 5.8 this morning. So, I just take a shot and make it as good as I can and enter and hope for the best.
How's that for a game plan?
:)
My personification finished okay, not great, but my "good" is over 6.
Now to shoot "music." |

Can I just add at this time, whatever the outcome(and to be fair I feel you girls might just beat us but Im holding onto our Honour here) so whatever the outcome... It was really fun trash talking with you and I wish you all (including Rinac & Hanae) all the best for the rest of the contest..

edit: Was going to self-dq so as not to bring the team avg down, but then I got a great comment from hotpasta. I'm always chuffed when I get a comment from one of the big guns around here. At the end of the day, it means more to me than the score... So, apologies in advance for this sad contribution in our round against Se7endipity, but I'm certain you guys have some ribbons in the making and my score won't even be required :)

I got same problem.... but end up i researched on Google for "Biology" and click "Image" and i found out many "Biology" picture.
I still dont know School days actual meaning...

I got a great comment from Hotpasta too...I know just what you mean. I actually gradually climbed to a high 5.7 thru the day (amazing considering where I started!) but I'm dropping again. :( Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to have time for bio or music - sorry girls.

Street Photograhy - Long associated with photography, photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson took street photography to the realm of art. Do your best to capture a quality photograph using street photography techniques.
Oh dear ladies :o( I didn't check the new challenge till just now and am pretty upset :o( I can not leave the house :o( What am I going to do?? :o(

do really good on the new open challenges? seriously, don't sweat it too much. just wait for the new open challenges tomorrow night. Now, if both of them require you to leave or go outside, you might be in trouble. :O |
