I really didn't want to enter this challenge. I have always detested this challenge subject...both for the photo and the voters inability to read everyones images. I knew before hand that it would tank. But for the sake of the WPL4 I had to enter.
So I tried a few things and then the night before the challenge (I think) my partner brought over these two coffee beans that had to be photographed for a client. I knew ahead that these had to be done but was shocked at the size of them. They are about 40cm long(16 inches). They are ceramic and are designed for a coffee shop and will soon be printed onto a car. So I just had to take their photos for this challenge too.
I have no hard feelings towards the voters or the commentors...but I did want to share these with you all afterwards.
Here is my entry.
Here you can see a side on shot showing the size of the fan and coffee table in the background.
Here you can see the coffee beans around their feet and in their cup are ACTUAL coffee beans. Now compare the size of them..LOL!!

Very funny props. I didn't notice them during voting. |

I feel so bad about my comments Judi. I feel like I really slammed you on this one. I guess karma will kick my fruit and veggie entry in the seat of its pants and give me a new lowest score.
Glad to hear your thoughts on your submission though.

These are great product photography shots!
What a challenge those must have been.
I personally think they look 'to' good for the challenge. They look like a digital graphic instead of a photograph. Superb work for what the clients need.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.
And Citadel...don't worry. While your comment did stike a chord...it wasn't anything I didn't expected during voting. So chin up.

Eventhough I like the photo as a productphoto, it didn't quite qualify as 'personification' to me.
sorry!
it is a really good technical photo though.
