Day 9 - Seminole Florida - my yard and house.

Anyone who follows me at all on DPC knows that my roommate and I own a lot of snakes. They have become a huge part of my life. We mainly own cornsnakes, but also some kingsnakes, ratsnakes, milksnakes and one ball python.

Since I didn't have a car again today, I thought I would share a little insight into my life. There is a whole world of snake breeders and hobbyists out there similar to people who breed and raise show dogs and cats. We attend a lot of reptile conventions and shows and plan on breeding ours and selling them in the near future.

One of the big questions I am asked is where we keep all of our snakes, so I have also included some pics of some of our rack systems for day 9 along with pictures of two of my newest acquisitions.

Day 10 Chicago IL

West facing from my parking garage at sunset tonight.

Details in the image windows. The first image is about 1/4 mile from the other 3. All were after sun set. The park is just up the road from my home. I worked all day after staying up late, so I'm tired. Sorry, not many comments for everyone tonight.

I haven't posted in two days! Ack! And now I'm posting a bit of a cheat because I don't have anything interesting new. I shot a few things but they sucked. So here's a picture of my lovely car taken by Wade. I was there egging him on to take the photo, though. :o)

The Morris Island Lighthouse. (Yes, it really does lean a bit!) :)

It's day 10, and I have come to the conclusion that I won't ever be able to keep up with the comments. (Perhaps if I had not fallen so far behind, but I think we're averaging about 60 posts a day!) :) If I don't get to your shot, just know that I'm really impressed with all of you that are keeping up with this challenge. There are some really great shots in here!

Day 11: Lulu

I guess a pet or so is in order.....I have seven cats, a dog, and a turtle. I won't bore you with all of them, I will probably get a shot of a cat or two, but not the whole herd.

This little jewel is Lulu, my daughter's dog.

She and my daughter are well suited. They're both sweet, yappy, and spoiled rotten!

Day 11 - Oakleigh, Victoria, Australia

Where I live in Oakleigh, Victoria, Australia we have a huge population of senior citizens from Greece and Italy.

They congregate within their own ethnic group outside coffee shops, markets, supermarkets - in fact anywhere.

The chat so much and for so long that the local mall has set a 1 hour limit on the public seating (no joke!)

So I caught this group of Greek men this morning whilst they were 'hanging with their homies' outside a Greek coffee shop.

Day 11 Chicago, IL

The next couple of days I am going to be really busy, so I'm going to post a few I took yesterday. IF I do get time to go out and shoot, I will, but I've got a few backups just in case.

This is the John Hancock building at dusk on Saturday Feb 10th.

We spend a lot of time feeding & watching the birds in winter. Their activity & behavior can be very interesting & humorous ! This is a new type of sparrow that my friend identified-American Tree Sparrow.
