I had NiMH batteries in my SB800, it has been working great, that thing can go forever on a set of batteries. I needed the batteries for something else (the battery hore S3 Pro) so I took them out to find out one was leaking in my SB800. Good Thing I found it now.

So while the SB800 works I have batter acid inside the compartment. What is the best way to clean it out?

Help, by SB800 is my baby... I love her.

Had a similar problem years ago. I used a Q-tip tipped in a water and baking soda solution. Depending on how much leakage you have and how far it has sunk in you should be able to clean it out with a little work. If how ever it have gotten inside the flash (through seams) clean as much as you can and the send it in ASAP to have it taken apart and cleaned internally.

Thanks Baxter, I have both of those immediately available. Its just row not too bad, but I think I will send it in after I clean it as its due for a check up anyhow.
