it would say nothing. they dont have a brain to let them think of anything to say. and without an ear, they wont know that they are able to talk. so they would remain mute.

here is my question:

If I were to stay inactive for a very long time, would someone who is already here try to steal my user name?

Not before we sent a search party into the Arizona desert.

Who said anything about finding you? We all know you're in Alaska. ;-P

j/k Ms. Bailey! You know you aren't going to go inactive for a year - that's just crazy talk.

Anyone else here ever think about getting your belly pierced? Not your belly button but your belly. You know, where they stick a needle all the way through you front to back and then slowly you size the barbell up until it's a hollow spacer and then you size that up slowly until it's say 5 inches in diameter. Then you could stick submarine sandwiches in it and keep them warm until lunch time or put a camera in there to sneak into concerts, you know, that kind of stuff. Anyone else or is it just me?

could be useful to keep your batteries warm during winter.
everyone knows that battery under-perform in low temperature.
alternatively, try using your butt-cheeks.

I'm gonna guess it's just you. But I think it would go with the similar procedure you had done to your skull. :P
