I work with Marines, tattoos as far as the eye can see. Plus I love the idea to include tattoo parlors and artist.
Great idea. |

No thanks. Don't have any tattoos myself, nor do I know anyone that has one. Sorry. |

Well this would be a great excuse to go out and get yourself inked. I doesn't hurt, I'm told.

It's more of an irritation than pain. Although it does hurt just a bit when they hit bone.

Sounds like a great theme for one of the current Open challenges - 'Bad', as in very bad idea. :P |

Not every challenge is easy for everyone. People in the city have hard time finding wildlife but find a way to work around it. |

Tattoo you? Need to get some red in the eyes only.
But I have the perfect person to talk to if we did have a challenge.

It hurts a whole lot more when they hit fat. All that reverberation!!

Actually, it hurts less where there's more meat. Anywhere near a bone hurts more. but....it's a good pain :)

I can see it now. "Excuse me...can I get you to roll up your sleeve and sit still for a sec while I take a picture?" ...
"Oh yeah, you'll need to take off your jacket first won't you?" ... or ...
"Do you mind putting out that smoke first? Sorry, no I can't hold your beer at the same time."
As for the wildlife/city point - going to the zoo is a whole lot safer than visiting the local bars. Thanks, but no thanks.

OOOOhhhh bet you could get some good shots of someone "getting inked" in a parlour!! I hear there are a lot of those in the city :)
Oh, and the back of the neck, the spine, and the tops of the feet are the most painful places to get tattooed ;)
For some of us, the pain is cleansing in an odd sort of way.... for others, we just like the ART heheheheheeeeeeee
I am all for this one, by the way :) |

Actually not... the expert ruleset requires all components of the image to have been shot by you during the challenge timeframe, so you'd STILL have to find and shoot some tattoos if you wanted to graft them onto yourself (or whomever) in PS. Definitely no clip art allowed... Dang... Clip Art tattoos would be awesome :-)

But you could take your own photographs of cool items, objet d'art for example, or anything else, and use that in the layering process. If the "tattoo" layers were expertly processed, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between the real and the imagined. |
