Hello Hello!

I was wondering what software folks use to make their video tutorials? I was asked to do a few but have been unable to find a software to make them with.

Any links, suggestions, etc... would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
Peace

I have Wink which is 100% free and while it does have its limitations, for a freeware file it has some great features. A downside is that you are basically limited to exporting it as a flash file, but these can be loaded to YouTube and most online video sites and I haven't had a problem thus far.

Wink allows you multiple features that you usually have to pay for such as the ability to add audio as well as the ability to post-process frame by frame. I'd check it out!

In the past I've used ScreenCam...its old school. From what I remember it records to avi. There are plenty of utilities that can convert avi to other formats.

Thanks Guys!

The Wink will come in handy for online stuff but I was hoping to get something that I can make dvd;s with as well.

Any other thoughts out there?

Check out Adobe Captivate

yeah, I really want captivate but it is really expensive. Plus I dont think the version for vista has come out & I heard that you will have to buy vista versions for all macromedia (aka Adobe) products instead of being able to just download a fix or something. More than enough reason to try & boycott.

We've used Camtasia at work with decent success. It's half the price of Captivate, but that's still $300...
